Filled in blooms

Hello dear crafters,
Am so happy to have found these amazing card challenges here on the blog land. I didn't understand how did it work, till last year. Now, I am hooked. I also love to combine challenges, as it gives me more ideas and inspiration and also opportunity to participate in more. With busy weeks, I only have weekends to spare for my hobby. These are the two cards, inspired by the challenges I have linked below to.
The first one, was inspired by Marcie Sharp's card and those colours.. ohh so pretty. My dear cousin broke her leg, so I used this sentiment and made it a shaker card to cheer her up.

The second card is using the sketch at Where creativity meets C 9. So I used the cut out scallop circle, fussy cut it.. put some more die cut leaves to add some greens around the lovely flower.

This year my resolution is to atleast make two cards, before keeping a stamp back. And am so happy for Twofer challenge, because now I have a reason and a challenge to participate in…

Hello Beautiful - CIC #442

Hello friends,

We have a colour challenge up at Cupcake Inspirations for you, this fortnight. We have The Paper Shelter sponsoring us this week, join in and you may be the lucky one to win three digis of your choice.

I have had a bit of bad luck with my printer and despite wanting to use the cute digis of The paper shelter, I had to use my stash for this card. Using the pink, blue and white, here's what I came up with.

Hope you'll join us with your rendition of the challenge colours.

Guest designing - AAA Cards #111

Dear friends,
Namaste from India!
It is indeed a privilege to be guest designing for AAA Cards and am thankful to the AAA cards team for the same. This fortnight, use only one third of your card and share your beauties up at the AAA card blog.
For my card I used the first one third of the vertical card. I thought of making the sky as a background and these two little birds, promising to always be friends. It was inspired by my son and his dear friend. We are moving from one city to another and I thought this would be a lovely parting card for the cute girl, who is our neighbour.

Here are the cuties, sharing a rocking chair and 'cheesing' for a picture.

Thank you very much for stopping by. Hope you like my card and will join in with your rendition of the challenge.

Lovely Daffodils

Hello there,
Here in the tropics and particularly where we live, there are no Daffodils. But when I lived in North India, I fell in love with them and particularly this another variety called "Nargis" that's what we call it in Hindi might be known to you as a "Poet's daffodil". Oh..if you have seen this flower you know why I love it!
So, now that many of you have Spring in the air with snow melting and daffodils blooming, here is this beautiful Jane's Doodle's Daffodils on my CAS card. Best Wishes to all of you for Easter!

Hope you like it!

Find your luck!

Hello there,

Has any childhood memory made you make a card?? I had just seen the bug cards on CASology and I loved the super inspiring take by the DT and their guest designer, Hannelie Bester. Although, I knew I have no time this week and that I'll not be able to make anything, I made a card! Combining sketch, colours and idea from all the blogs I follow. St. Patricks day and clover cards fill my IG feed.. so inspired by the card makers around the world and adding what brought luck to me as we in India do not celebrate St Patrick's day, I thought of this card! Actually, I also had this sentiment in a stamp set, called finders keepers, which I had never used. I googled what it meant and then this idea struck me! (Finders Keepers, losers weepers.. oh man! I know what it means!)

Lady bug!! Do you have memories of picking one.. wishing and blowing it away to fly?? I have! We were told it brings good luck.. and we used to go hunt for these.. just to pick them from the grass and sh…

IQCG #45 Orchids

Hello everyone,

It's a month of flowers here in India, so for inspiring you to participate in the Indian Quilling Challenge Group's this month, I have got some Orchids for you.

Do you know that Orchids have the largest variety of flowers with the number of officially documented species standing at an amazing 25,000 plus? With so much variety, I designed my own.. it might match some species but am not sure!

I made these, with 3 mm strips of white and purple and 2mm strips of pink. The leaves are die cut and sponged with distress inks. I added the pink frame and stamped sentiment for this clean and simple card.

Hope you like it and will join us for this month's challenge with your lovely quilling. Here are the theme colours

Wishing rainbows

Hi there,

How wonderful to have a bright Sunday morning here. I wish everyday was a sunday and I could make a card everyday! haha.. silly me 😜

I was itching to make something because I finally had some time. I recently received the order I placed, from Paper smooches . I have been very unlucky in receiving International mails. The prize Maaike sent me for her vlog hop, Stamplorations order that I won at CASology, YNS order that had a coupon for Cupcake DT..  all are awaited since more than a month! So I was glad to receive my Paper smooches order. I WISH all my orders reach soon!

I die cut the easel and the canvas, used some Tombows in rainbow colours and smooshed them on my canvas. I chose 'Wish' as a sentiment and inside I could write as per the occasion.. wish 'you a lot of happiness' or 'I was there' or ' you were here' or 'you goodluck' or 'you a very Happy Birthday'.. works well.. doesn't it?

I hope you like my card.

Jane's critters and cakes

Hello there,

This week has been so busy.. no time to craft. And the day I dont do any crafting, I feel that I wasted the whole day. So, I wasted almost a week! We have been traveling and visiting family. I knew my nephews and nieces would love to get some cards. So I carried some colours and stamps that the kids would like (and for me to also not miss on practicing colouring) and introduced them to stamping.

I could take out a little time and made these cards with minimal supplies. Supplies that fit in a cookie tin like a set of koibrushpens, a waterbrushpen, stamps from Jane's doodles stamps , an acrylic block and ranger archival ink - jet black. The card base and foam tape is from the local stationery shop next to their house!

The kids had their exams on, so we did just a little break-time stamping and colouring, but they were very keen to learn. These are the final assembled cards. Pardon me for the bad light pictures.

Pawty Pets - CIC 441

Hello everyone,

Up at Cupcake Inspiration challenges, we have an utterly cute theme - Pets! We also have YNS design team guesting for this challenge along withoYNS store providing a lucky winner with $20 gift voucher. Check out the lovely inspiration on the blog.

I was waiting for my order to arrive but probably the mail is taking a little longer to arrive at the other end of the globe! So, I took out my lucky dog stamps to create a little scene of these cute dogs.

Hope you like it and will join us with your rendition to this fortnight's theme

Memories of the Last day at school

Hello everyone,
Me and my son had shifted our base since past 6 months as I was undergoing a course. We were staying at my parent's place and I put my two and a half year old in a playschool here. Now after 6 months, he surprises us with telling us, electricity starts with the letter E and Stagosaurus with S. This surely has his grand mother working behind the scenes. But we won't have him hold a pencil until his play group teacher said that he should join Nursery as the activities at play group do not keep him engaged. And so we did.
Today after five months, we are leaving this place and thought of meeting the kids in the class and his teachers for the last time. We planned to give the teachers a card. And he said.. I'll make a lion! there could be many ways but the idea struck us in the morning and we had roughly one hour to make the cards. Luckily I had a Lion in my stash of stamps and Ishir coloured it with his crayons. The teachers loved it. Especially with the handw…
